Business Process Automation with n8n
n8nPythonNode.jsDockerSo nobody copies a request from chat into a sheet and back
One event starts a chain: a request arrives — a task appears; a status changes — the client hears. No copy-paste.
- 1An event
- 2A task or status
- 3A note to the client
What this is
Request automation is a chain without copy-paste: a request arrives — a task appears; a status changes — the client hears. If a step fails, you see it — not “it probably sent”.
Where this is used
Requests into work
A task left on the site or in the bot becomes an item on someone’s list — no screenshot forwarded.
A status to the client
You mark “done” in work — they get a short message. Nobody types “your order is packed” by hand.
Several programs at once
Payment, a task, a warehouse ping — one fact, several places, no triple entry.
How it is now
A manager moves the request into a planner, then the status into chat, then a sheet. Miss once — the client waits, the numbers lie.
What changes
We agree what counts as a start (request, payment, status change). Then the steps run on their own. If something didn’t land, you see it — not “it probably sent”.
With what you already have
This is the glue between the bot, the form, tasks, and the books. It doesn’t have to be a “big integration”: often clear rules on frequent events are enough. Payments and 1C join when manual reconcile already hurts.
What to prepare for an estimate
Describe the trigger, input data, owner and expected result for each step. Include volume and failure handling.
What affects cost and timing
The number of systems, branches, execution frequency and monitoring requirements determine the scope. Start with one repeatable workflow.
How we go
- 01
What starts it
Request, payment, status change — no extra buttons
- 02
Which steps
Who gets a task, who gets a message, what we write in the books
- 03
If it fails
A retry and a signal to you, not silence
What you get
- A chain without hand-offs
- Visibility if a step didn’t run
- What you can change yourselves in simple rules
Technology
- n8nVisible flows without constant code edits
- Notices and APISite, bot, and tasks talking
- RetriesDon’t lose a step on a blip
- LogWhy a request didn’t become a task
Common questions
- Is this n8n or custom code?
- Frequent flows live in n8n so rules stay visible. A piece the builder cannot hold we write as a small custom step.
- What should we automate first?
- What you copy every day: request → task, “done” → a client message. We do not start with rare exceptions.
- What if the other system is down?
- A retry and a signal to you. A request must not vanish quietly between chat and a sheet.
